Niobium wire mesh is one of the rare metals with high melting point, which does neither react with inorganic acid , alkali, nor solve in aqua regia, but niobium is soluble in hydrofluoric acid. The ability of acid resistance of niobium is better than zirconium, but poorer than tantalum.
